Evaluating Trump's first two years

This is the summary
at the beginning
of my six-page article
in my January February 2019
ECONOMIC LOGIC newsletter,
published in mid-January 2019.

The grade is based on results

of the Administration,
not based on Tweets,
which I don't read,
or frequent exaggerations,
or an abrasive personality:

"THE  BIG  PICTURE
Trump was elected with 3 million fewer votes than Hillary Clinton. With the unjustified 90%+ negative coverage in the mainstream media, he became the first modern president whose job approval never reached 50%. With all that negative coverage, including CNN / MSNBC fake news, and speculation everywhere else, the media failed miserably at reporting President Trump's accomplishments.

MY  GRADE  FOR  PRESIDENT  TRUMP
Trump rated his performance in his first two years as an "A+", claiming the 'best first two years of any president'. Grade inflation, exaggerating his accomplishments. Just what we expected from Trump! In 2016, Trump promised to do more as president than any other candidate has ever promised in my lifetime! But I believe it makes more sense to ignore his excessive campaign promises, and judge Trump only by results. Based on results, I'd give Trump a "B" ... but that "B" could change a lot in 2019, depending on how the US - China trade war progresses.

BIPARTISAN   LEGISLATION
Trump's bipartisan legislation, not well publicized, included recent criminal justice reform, opioid and sex trafficking legislation, and a new "Right to Try" law giving dying Americans access to experimental medications."
