In 2012 I was confident:
I bet $20 on Republican Romney, and lost $20
In 2016 I was not confident:
I bet $1 on Trump, and won $2 (2 to 1 odds)
Not a good track record !
For 2020, I am confident about Trump winning, but will wait and see who runs against him before betting.
I'm not sure it will be Joe "gaffe" Biden.
Last month my wife declared the Democrat would NOT be Biden (early dementia) or Sanders (angry radical) ... the surprise nominee would be Hillary Clinton !
I'm not sure if I'd bet on Trump if he was running against Hillary Clinton.
I wanted to put that Hillary prediction in writing today, because I heard someone on TV this morning make the same prediction.
After about 18 stated excuses on why she lost in 2016, Hillary Clinton may someday realize the truth: She did not have the energy to campaign everywhere, or just didn't care about, the midwest states.
Here in Michigan, we remember that huge campaign error, and think Hillary would be smart enough to not make the same mistake again, if she somehow became the nominee in 2020.
