CrowdStrike's
forensics report
made it into a
joint FBI / DHS report
on an Russia's
"Grizzly Steppe",
which concluded
that Russia hacked
the DNC's servers.
( DNC = Democrat National Committee )
CrowdStrike's claim
drew a lot of scrutiny
from cyber-security
experts.
I have written here
many times that the
the country of origin
of a hack is just a guess.
Sophisticated hackers
plant false clues that
the hackers were in
some other country.
WikiLeaks once revealed
the US CIA does this,
for which Julian Assange
is in big trouble now.
Most important,
CrowdStrike has a
reputation for falsely
claiming they can
figure it out, and they
like to blame Russia,
which no one could refute,
even though it is fiction.
The government of Ukraine
criticized CrowdStrike
for a report that they later
retracted, and amended,
after initially claiming
that Russia hacked
the Ukrainian military !
CrowdStrike boasts
about be capable
of determining
the country of origin
for hacks, to attract
new business.
CoiwdStrike is
wild guessing
about the country,
and also lying.
A court filing
by Roger Stone
requested the
full CrowdStrike
DNC analysis.
We just found out
the US government
was only given
a redacted version
of the CrowdStrike
report marked "Draft".
A footnote admitted that
"counsel for the DNC and DCCC
informed the government that
they are the last version
of the report produced."
The narrative that Russia
hacked the DNC
is based on a redacted
draft of a report
which CrowdStrike
never finalized !
The FBI and DOJ,
and all claims
by the Obama's
intelligence agencies,
including the
December 2016
Joint Analysis Report,
and the January 2017
Intelligence Community
Assessment, and the
recent Mueller Report,
were based entirely
on aking the word
of a hired contractor
for the Democrat party,
owned by ex-Russians,
who were Democrats,
and hated Vladimir Putin.
No one in the U.S. government,
under Obama, certainly very
friendly toward Hillary Clinton,
ever examined DNC computers,
or ever saw an un-redacted
forensic report from CrowdStrike !
The CrowdStrike analyst,
who led the forensics
on the DNC servers,
was a former FBI employee,
who was promoted
while Robert Mueller
was the FBI Director.
I don't know if that means
anything, but it is interesting!
