Lisa Page’s
testimony
was delivered
behind
closed doors
last July,
before a joint
task force of the
House Oversight
and Judiciary
committees.
On the Hillary Clinton investigation,
Page said the FBI “did not
blow over gross negligence.”
Former FBI General Counsel
James Baker’s had
told the committee
that he originally believed
Hillary Clinton’s mishandling
of highly classified information
was “alarming” and “appalling.”
And Clinton's use
of a private server
to send classified emails
was sufficient enough
to secure an indictment
on violations of
the Espionage Act,
for mishandling sensitive
government documents.
Page's testimony focuses on the
DOJ’s push to NOT charge Clinton.
Page contradicted
Bruce Ohr’s testimony
regarding when
she first knew about
former British spy
Christopher Steele’s
anti-Trump dossier.
President Donald Trump’s campaign
was never given a defensive briefing
by the FBI, despite their concerns
that Russians were allegedly trying
to penetrate the campaign during
the 2016 presidential election.
A defensive briefing is a procedure
often given to presidential candidates,
elected officials, and even
U.S. businesses, approached by
foreigners attempting to befriend
those in position of influence.
The FBI’s failed to mention
any concerns they had on
campaign advisors George
Papadopolous, Carter Page and
former national security advisor
Lt. Gen. Michael Flynn.
Bruce Ohr’s 268-page testimony,
revealed many FBI people
in the Obama Administration
were concerned about Russians
penetrating the Trump campaign,
but no one at the DOJ or FBI
authorized a defensive briefing
for candidate Trump.
Lisa Page stated the FBI
didn’t believe Trump himself
was colluding with Russia,
but maybe someone associated
with his campaign was.
In Page's mind, Trump wasn’t
going to win, so why should the FBI
“burn longstanding sources”
by revealing their suspicions
to candidate Trump?
Bruce Ohr’s 268-page testimony,
reveals contradictions to testimony
given by Glenn Simpson, founder
of research firm Fusion GPS,
and by Deputy Attorney General
Rod Rosenstein.
Glenn Simpson said
he never spoke to anyone
at the FBI about
Christopher Steele,
the former British spy
he hired to investigate
the Trump campaign
But Bruce Ohr said:
“As I recall ... Mr. Simpson
and I spoke in August of 2016.
I met with him, and he
provided some information
on possible intermediaries
between the Russian government
and the Trump campaign.”
Deputy Attorney General
Rod Rosenstein refused
to answer questions
during testimony about
when he learned that
Bruce Ohr’s wife, Nellie Ohr,
was working for Fusion GPS.
Ohr claimsed he told the FBI about
his wife’s role at Fusion GPS,
but only to one person
at the DOJ: Rosenstein.
At the time, Rosenstein
was overseeing
the Trump-Russia probe,
had taken information
from Bruce Ohr
( coming from his wife ),
and gave it to the FBI.
Bruce Ohr told lawmakers
former British spy,
Christopher Steele
was being paid by the FBI
at the same time he was
getting paid by the
Hillary Clinton campaign
and the DNC.
Another player paying Steele
was a Russian oligarch named
Oleg Deripaska.
Deripaska was a tycoon
connected to Russian President
Vladimir Putin, who hated his
former friend Paul Manafort,
for working with Ukraine,
as a consultant, against Putin.
