and still am not,
thinking the main thing
in his favor in 2016,
was his last name
-- it was not "Clinton".
Before the election Trump
promised to spend more
money, and cut taxes too
-- grossly overpromising
what he could deliver
without having 60 votes
in the Senate (what wall?)
More deficit spending
during good times,
is a recipe for a
bigger government,
and a long-term
fiscal disaster.
A friend's mother met Trump
in Michigan a long time ago,
at a fundraiser, I believe,
and said he was charming.
I find that hard to believe.
I don't read his Tweets,
or anyone else's,
unless they are included
in an article about him.
I just read one Tweet
that reminded me
why Trump's popularity
is growing --
he is making the Dumbocrats
act like fools, with their
Trump Derangement
Syndrome, almost as bad
as Dumbocrats acted
when Republican Abe Lincoln
was elected in the 1800s.
I found this recent Trump
tweet in an article about him.
It describes the huge decline
of civility in politics,
in an amusing way,
and also shows that a man who
rarely sleeps, like Trump,
has too much spare time
on his hands:
The very rude elevator screamers are paid professionals only looking to make Senators look bad. Don’t fall for it! Also, look at all of the professionally made identical signs. Paid for by Soros and others. These are not signs made in the basement from love! #Troublemakers
