showing what
Bruce Ohr was doing,
that he should not
have been doing !
Bruce Ohr had been
the associate deputy
attorney general.
In late 2016
Ohr began feeding
anti-Trump
information
to the FBI
from "Trump Dossier"
fiction author
Christopher Steele.
This was after the FBI
had terminated Steele
as a confidential informant
for leaking information
to the media,
and lying about it.
Ohr also collected dirt
from Glenn Simpson,
cofounder of Fusion GPS,
who did work for
the Hillary Clinton campaign,
and hired Steele.
The FBI got information
from Bruce Ohr
at least a dozen times.
Ohr failed to disclose
on financial forms
that his wife Nellie
worked with Mr. Steele
in 2016, also getting paid
by Fusion's Mr. Simpson
for anti-Trump research.
The Justice Department
finally turned over dozens
of Ohr's emails, calls,
meetings and notes
that describe this.
Congress had to fight hard
just to get the Ohr documents.
Ohr acted
as a witness
as a witness
(via FBI interviews)
in a Department

But the FBI used him anyway.
An Oct. 7, 2016, text message
from FBI agent Peter Strzok

“Jesus. More BO (Bruce Ohr)
leaks in the NYT,”
The FBI may also
have been obtaining
information from
Fusion's Mr. Simpson,
a paid political operative,
through Bruce Ohr.
In House testimony
in November 2017,
Mr. Simpson said
he reached out
to Mr. Ohr after the election.
But Mr. Ohr’s inbox
shows an email
from Mr. Simpson
dated Aug. 22, 2016
that reads, in full:
“Can u ring.”
The Justice Department
quietly demoted Mr. Ohr twice !
