The "Podesta Emails" exposed a tight link between the "impartial" John Harwood of CNBC and John Podesta of the Hillary Clinton campaign.
In the first email, July 2015, Harwood told Hillary he sent a tweet defending Hillary in her email scandal.

After Hillary's Communications Director, Jennifer Palmieri, wrote a letter to the New York Times editor blasting the paper for their coverage of the email scandal ... Harwood responded by sending Podesta an email with the subject "good letter."
Then Harwood felt compelled to let Podesta know how comfortable Hillary looked talking with Andrea Mitchell of MSNBC.
A month later, when Hillary was sinking in the polls, and Joe Biden was getting pressure to enter the race, Harwood reached out just to see how everyone at camp Clinton was doing.
A few days later Harwood was scheduling a lunch in NYC with Podesta.
A month later Harwoodh asked:
"don't you think it's time...for HRC to talk economy with me?" ... "With me, it will be the kind of substantive, deep, textured conversation about the economy she wants.".
