As the months and years wear on in the COVID-19 pandemic crisis, it is becoming increasingly evident that both with the respiratory infection caused by SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus and with repeated and frequent systemic administrations of COVID-19 vaccines that, the human body is being loaded with coronavirus Spike protein.

In the medical literature, terms such as “Spike protein disease,” “Spikopathy,” and “Spike prion-like illness” are appearing. With a size of 180–200 kDa, the Spike protein consists of an extracellular N-terminus, a transmembrane domain anchored in the viral membrane, and a short intracellular C-terminal segment.1

The Spike protein normally exists in a metastable, prefusion conformation; once the virus engages the human ACE-2 receptor, extensive structural rearrangement of the Spike protein occurs, allowing the virus to fuse with the host cell membrane. The spikes are coated with polysaccharide molecules to camouflage them, evading surveillance of the host immune system during entry into the body.

The total length of the Spike protein is 1273 amino acids and consists of a signal peptide (amino acids 1–13) located at the N-terminus, which is cleaved, the S1 subunit (14–685 residues), and the S2 subunit (686–1273 residues); the last two regions are responsible for receptor binding and membrane fusion, respectively. In the S1 subunit, there is an N-terminal domain (14–305 residues) and a receptor-binding domain (319–541 residues); the fusion peptide (FP) (788–806 residues), heptapeptide repeat sequence 1 (912–984 residues), heptapeptide repeat sequence 2 (1163–1213 residues), transmembrane domain (1213–1237 residues), and cytoplasm domain (1237–1273 residues) comprise the S2 subunit.

Spike protein trimers visually form a characteristic bulbous, crown-like halo surrounding the viral particle structure of the SARS-CoV-2 trimeric S protein has been determined by cryo-electron microscopy at the atomic level to be dynamic and take on conformations at different phases of viral action. Far less is described in the literature on the Spike protein that is produced from mRNA and adenoviral DNA vaccines, which billions of persons have taken into their bodies across the globe.

Based upon what is known, the COVID-19 vaccine-produced Spike protein carries with it at least as much pathogenicity, if not more than the Spike protein that is on the surface of an intact SARS-CoV-2 virion.

In this weeks ReportDr Jean-François Lesgards, Laboratoire Sondes Moléculaires en Biologie et Stress Oxydant, Institut de Chimie Radicalaire, Aix Marseille Université, Marseille, France, does a deep dive on this protein that is now apart of so many lives in this post-COVID-19 vaccine world.2

So let’s get real, let’s get loud; on America Out Loud Talk Radio, this is The McCullough Report!

The McCullough Report: Sat/Sun 2 PM ET Encore 7 PM – Internationally recognized Dr. Peter A. McCullough, known for his iconic views on the state of medical truth in America and around the globe, pierces through the thin veil of mainstream media stories that skirt the significant issues and provide no tractable basis for durable insight. Dr. McCullough is an internist, cardiologist, and epidemiologist managing the cardiovascular complications of both the viral infection and the injuries developing after the COVID-19 vaccine in Dallas, TX, USA.

Since the outset of the pandemic, Dr. McCullough has been a leader in the medical response to the COVID-19 disaster and has published “Pathophysiological Basis and Rationale for Early Outpatient Treatment of SARS-CoV-2 (COVID-19) Infection,” the first synthesis of sequenced multidrug treatment of ambulatory patients infected with SARS-CoV-2 in the American Journal of Medicine and subsequently updated in Reviews in Cardiovascular Medicine. He has 56 peer-reviewed publications on the infection and has extensively commented on the medical response to the COVID-19 crisis in TheHill, America Out Loud, and FOX NEWS Channel.

On November 19, 2020, Dr. McCullough testified in the US Senate Committee on Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs, in 2021-2022, the Texas Senate Committee on Health and Human Services, Colorado General Assembly, New Hampshire Senate, Pennsylvania Senate, and South Carolina Senate concerning many aspects of the pandemic response. On January 24, 2022, Dr. McCullough co-moderated and testified in the US Senate Panel “COVID-19: A Second Opinion” chaired by Senator Ron Johnson. Dr. McCullough has reviewed thousands of reports, participated in scientific congresses, group discussions, and press releases, and has been considered among the world's top experts on COVID-19.
