Visits to this blog have been higher than usual for the past three days, averaging about 500 visits a day. I don't know who visits, or why. But I hope it is to read articles you will not find in the mass media, unless it is a conservative website.
I do a lot of reading every day, and my three blogs are where I share the best articles I've read each day. My job as Editor is to judge which authors know what they are talking about. Articles posted here do not get deleted, so I don't want to publish anything that is BS. To do that I rely on the my BS degree! Actually, I was the editor of a for-profit financial and economics newsletter, ECONOMIC LOGIC, for 43 years, from 1977 to 2020. So I've had some practice.
My editing "secrets" are simple:
When I read, I ask myself questions:
How does the author know that?
Are the conclusions backed by facts, data and logic?
If there are any predictions, beyond next quarter, can I delete them and still have a good article to publish?
Will other people be interested in this?
I start reading about three dozen articles each day. But I never finish about 1/3 of them, because they are not giving me the "right" answers to my questions.
In conclusion, I'd be reading all these articles every day with or without a blog. Posting the best ones on my blogs adds up to two hours of "work" a day. After retiring at age 51 in January 2005, I can "work" two hours a day as a public service.
We are deluged with misinformation, censorship and lies on most subjects by our government and pro-leftist-biased mass media. They act as fact chokers. My blogs are the antidote. Always free. No ads. If you found my address in Bingham Farms, Michigan, and sent me a $1,000 check, I would not accept it. Well, I might use it for office supplies, such as Vodka and Vermouth. For medicinal reasons.
