Even if science is not your favorite subject, it is still valuable to understand that "climate change" is 1% science and 99% politics. The current climate is wonderful, and predictions of climate doom have been wrong for the past 65 years. Wrong predictions are not science. And science is not a popularity contest, You now know more about climate science than 99% of leftists. My "one page" summary is easy to understand -- sort of an introduction to Climate Change 101 - the honest version, not the BS version.

MY GOAL WITH THIS CLIMATE SCIENCE AND ENERGY BLOG IS TO REFUTE MANY DECADES OF POLITICIAN AND GOVERNMENT BUREAUCRAT CLIMATE CHANGE SCAREMONGERING. FEAR IS DELIBERATELY CREATED BY ALWAYS WRONG, WILD GUESS PREDICTIONS OF CLIMATE DOOM. THAT FEAR IS USED BY LEFTISTS TO EXPAND GOVERNMENT POWERS. SO EFFECTIVE IS THE PROPAGANDA, THAT IT PREVENTS MOST PEOPLE FROM ENJOYING TODAY'S WONDERFUL CLIMATE. U.S. HURRICANES MAKING LANDFALL ARE IN A DOWNTREND SINCE THE LATE 1800s. MAJOR TORNADOES ARE IN A DOWNTREND SINCE THE 1950s. HEAT WAVES, DROUGHT AND FOREST FIRE ACRES BURNED PEAKED IN THE 1930s. THE 1930s STILL HAVE THE MOST STATE MAXIMUM HEAT RECORDS OF ANY DECADE, BY FAR. WE ARE LIVING IN THE BEST CLIMATE FOR HUMANS, ANIMALS AND PLANTS SINCE THE LATE 1600s. AND THAT'S A FACT, NOT A PREDICTION. ... AS SMARMY LEFTISTS TRY TO CONVINCE US THAT EVERY DAY WITH BAD WEATHER IS PROOF OF A COMING CLIMATE CHANGE EMERGENCY. LYING TO GAIN MORE POLITICAL POWER HAS BEEN A LEFTIST TRADITION FOR OVER A CENTURY.
I consider this blog to be a public service. There are no ads. I never ask for donations. I get paid nothing, I do refute leftist lies used to expand government powers, and that is worth more to me than money. I favor less government, and more personal freedom. Right now we are losing the battle. But the war against leftism is not over.
SUMMARY OF CLIMATE REALISM:
Actual global warming since 1975 has been good news. Colder nations in the Northern Hemisphere now have warmer winter nights than in the 1970s. That's true here in Michigan USA, and we love it. Our planet is also greening from more CO2 in the atmosphere. C3 photosynthesis plants used for food are growing better than ever. With less water too. That's more good news. Continued global warming for another 47 years should be even more good news. At worst, it will be harmless.
SUMMARY OF CLIMATE ALARMISM:
Climate Alarmists start with a prediction of climate doom. Their always wrong wild guess predictions of the future climate are not science. They are climate astrology. Unproven climate theories are promoted to support the prediction. That's not science. Historical temperature data are arbitrarily changed to better support the prediction. That's science fraud. The global cooling trend from 1940 to 1975. as CO2 levels rose, has "disappeared'. That's science fraud.
Government bureaucrats with science degrees are paid by their governments to make scary climate predictions. So they do. For the past 40 years, they've also programmed their computers to make the same scary climate predictions. Worthless computer games, The bureaucrats typically predict a global warming crisis coming in 10 to 20 years. That imaginary crisis has been "coming" in 10 to 20 years since 1957. That's 65 years of wrong predictions and there are still lots of gullible believers! That imaginary coming climate crisis will never show up -- that's my prediction.
WHAT IS CLIMATE SCIENCE ? :
Climate science is based on data, called observations, of the present and past climate. There are real time data for the present climate, and reconstructed data (rough estimates) for long past climates, using climate proxies. But there are no data for the future climate. For future climate predictions, there are only unproven theories, and speculation. Predictions are not reality. And wrong predictions are never science.
For the past 65 years, the climate predictions have not matched the observations.
You can find science fiction -- those scary, always wrong climate predictions, at other websites -- especially at mass media websites. Not here. At this blog, we live in climate reality, not in a coming climate crisis fantasyland: I'm a Climate Realist, not a Climate Alarmist.
