UK: The real efficacy rates of the COVID vaccines

NOTE:
Not included in the article:
I believe the UK unvaxxed are a younger, healthier group than the vaxxed people.  I assume most people had their COVID vaccinations many months ago, so the effectiveness has declined significantly. I assume Omicron infections are not affected by vaccines.

The reduction of Delta Covid hospitalizations and deaths from taking vaccines appears to be significant for at least a few months.  At the expense of the worst side effects of any vaccine in history.  The important news is that the percentage of hospitalization and deaths among the unvaccinated is currently much lower than most people believe. Meaning the absolute risk reduction from getting a Covid vaccine has to be quite small

Highlights From The Article:

... "My last essay revealed that more vaccinated people have been using the health care system in U.K. than unvaccinated people.  ...

From the U.K. Vaccine Surveillance report, Week 51.

... the vaccinated people are doing better than unvaccinated people, except for Covid cases.

... The real efficacy rate is calculated based on the number of actual infected people, both vaccinated and unvaccinated.

... the hospital admission number divided by the infection case number.

For the Week 51 report, that's
1 - (4,027 / 268,654) = 0.985, or 98.5%.

... COVID vaccines prevented more than 98 people being hospitalized out of 100 who were infected.

... only 1 person dies out of 100 people who were infected.

... (but) the unvaccinated were doing better,
99.15% and 99.8%, respectively,
for Week 51, when Omicron started
to be dominant in the U.K.

The same is true for Week 47 and Week 45,
when the delta variant was dominant.

How can the unvaccinated do better than the vaccinated?

... they used the unadjusted rate per 100,000 people.

There is a footnote under the chart in the Week 51 report
and every other report:
"Comparing case rates among vaccinated and unvaccinated populations should not be used to estimate vaccine effectiveness against COVID-19 infection."

That is to say that "we deceived, so don't use those rates."

... most people are more concerned about the real effectiveness of those COVID vaccines in combatting the COVID pandemic, not artificial rates created for propaganda.

... many research reports have pointed out that the efficacy rate of the COVID vaccines is ... reduced after being administered, even dropping to negative numbers in three months after getting the third shot!

It's ... time to stop the vaccination mandate and all the nonsense about a "pandemic of the unvaccinated."
