Did you realize there were people at the Capitol building before and during Trump's speech, two miles away?
They were not there because they were "incited" by his speech, which called for peaceful protests: "I know that
everyone here will soon be marching over to the Capitol building to peacefully and patriotically make your voices heard." President Trump, 1/6/21
Of the more than 200,000 people listening to Trump, at least 95 percent did NOT walk the two miles to the Capitol building. That would have been a 50+ minute walk in 40 degree F. weather.
Eventually, there were about 10,000 people in the vicinity of the Capitol building. Of those 10,000, approximately 1,000 were on the steps in front of the building. A peaceful protest is not a crime, but I don't know if blocking the steps counts as a peaceful protest.
Of the 1,000 people on the steps, several hundred decided to enter the building. I have no idea how many of the several hundred had attended the Trump rally, and entered the building because they heard his speech. The speech did not call for anything beyond a peaceful protest.
Of the several hundred people inside the building, a small minority committed violence ... but there much less violence than a typical BLM "peaceful protest".
In 2020, a BLM "protest" around the White House left 60 secret service personnel injured. Fortunately, the secret service did not shoot anyone after they lost control of the crowd. The secret service actually sent the president into a White House safe room reserved for protection of the president and his family during a nuclear war. Maybe your favorite mass media source didn't cover that event so well?
