After his first debate,
one thing is obvious:
Michael Bloomberg
is weak at debating !
Although he sure has
bought lots of attention
with $400+ million of ads !
Trying to think like
a Democrat would,
assuming they think
at all, here are
my thoughts about
Michael Bloomberg's
weak points,
as a 2020 Democrat,
versus
an imaginary, ideal
Democrat candidate
in 2020, who would get
the nomination, AND
beat Donald Trump too:
Old, white male = strike 1
Multi-billionaire = strike 2
Very short height = strike 3
Lack of energy = strike 4
Lack of charisma = strike 5
Lack of debating skills = strike 6
Not a motivational speaker = strike 7
Racist -- NYC "stop & frisk" = strike 8
Supports "capitalism" = strike 9
Out of touch with U.S. farmers and
other blue collar workers = strike 10
Poor campaign slogan = strike 11
( "Mike will get it done" )
In baseball,
three strikes
is a strikeout.
Bloomberg
gets 11 strikes
from me !
Which goes to show
that no amount of money
can buy the debating
and speechmaking skills
needed to win an election.
( I previously
explained
on this blog
that Joe Biden
had no chance
to become
president
because he
bragged on video
about extorting the
Ukraine president
in 2016.
In addition, many
family members,
especially son
Hunter Biden,
are shameless
grifters. )
Michael Bloomberg
lacks the personality,
and speaking skills,
to inspire people,
and win the
2020 election.
Not to mention
that a billionaire,
who supports
capitalism,
is opposing
the majority
of Democrats,
who prefer
socialism.
That leaves
Bernie Sanders,
and others, to
get nominated.
Or ... maybe
Hillary Clinton
will come back to
presidential politics,
like a Democrat
zombie who loses
elections, but never
stops running ?
